How we source, label, and clear regional intelligence.

The Great 38 platform may include candidate, prototype, internal, community-submitted, or methodology-review metrics.

Public use status only. Metrics should not be presented as final public values until QA, denominator approval, licensing/public-display review, and public methodology review are complete. This platform is in beta — some features, metrics, submissions, and regional intelligence layers are still being reviewed, tested, or refined before broader public use.

What data powers the site

Current working source: Great 38 raw + calculated data bundle v81 — raw ACS Census exports packaged with calculated Great 38 review and deck data, used for internal review, dashboard prototyping, and methodology QA before broader public use.

Working values not cleared for public publication.

Prototype

Early visualizations of how a metric might be displayed once cleared.

QA Required

Numbers pending denominator validation, pull verification, or independent review.

Composite or derived metrics whose method must be approved before display.

Values derived from licensed sources that require rights clearance before public display.

Public Use Hold

Held from public use pending governance review.

Public Ready

Explicitly cleared for public display.
